5:30 PM – Heads Hang Heavy

HeadsHangHeavyWhile audiences across the Lower Mainland tend to agree that HEADS HANG HEAVY are an explosive party experience – it is hard to call them a rock band, when in fact, they are really more of a musical circus. A huge line-up of tight players toting props, gags, elephant masks and watermelon slices, all help to set this group apart from your typical band… and in fact most circuses are finding it hard to keep up as well!

While their sound is strongly rooted in styles such as Reggae, Ska and Dancehall, the band also draws influences from other forms of dance music, including Disco, Hip-hop, Funk and Rock. With musical tastes that are wide and far-reaching, their collective goal has always been to bring these divergent styles together under the banner of strong song-writing and infectious musical performances. HHH strive to bring an intelligent and conscious positivity to their lyrics, while expressing the unique west coast culture of British Columbia.
