About Langley’s Canada Day Celebrations
Over the past sixteen years, the Langley Canada Day Celebrations have become a premiere community event with record-setting attendance, family fun and entertainment, community bonding and pride in affirming Canada’s heritage.
This event, held on July 1st, draws tens of thousands of people, of all ages and abilities, to Langley from surrounding communities. It was voted #1 Summer Festival in the 2008 Langley Advance Annual Reader’s Choice Best of the Best Awards and was mentioned by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in his 2006 Canada Day remarks on Parliament Hill.
Family activities, rides, main-stage entertainment, a car show, an assortment of ethnic foods, dog show, fireworks, pony rides, and much more are all on the menu for this fun-filled and exciting family event.
Langley Canada Day Celebrations Society is a non-profit event which is organized entirely by our volunteer Board Of Directors who contribute over 18,000 hours throughout the year to plan the celebration. On the days of the event, we have an amazing group of volunteers who join us from the community to help ensure that all who attend enjoy the festivities. Without these volunteers we would not be able to bring this amazing event to Langley.
